LALIFF 2018 Resurges with Next Generation of Latinx Films

LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF) is back! The largest Latinx film festival to be host in the City of Angeles, returns with expanded programming, including both short and long form films– created, directed, produced and/or starring by the next generation of Latinx entertainers.  The return of the festival is spearheaded by Edward James Olmos and organized by Rafael Agustin (writer for Jane the Virgin).

The festival will be teaming up the Walt Disney Company, American Film Institute and other noted Hollywood entities to create educational programs for schoolchildren.

LALIFF’s new Director of Programming is Diana Sanchez with Dilcia Barrera who will take on the duties of Senior Programmer.

What’s New?

It’s expanded it’s platform!  LALIFF showcases the entirety of human experience from the Latino perspective but starting 2018, all platforms will be presented, whether through film, television, digital, music, art, or any other vehicle.

Who’s Participating?

Filmmakers and casts alike will come together to present their award-winning work from across the globe– Argentina, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Costa Rico, Chile, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, Paraguay, Spain and North America.
