Fernanda Ulibarri
Pop/Alternative Diva’s Steady Rise in U.S.
By Elia Esparza
Mexican born Fernanda Ulibarri has been on the international rise since her MTV Unplugged tour with Julieta Venegas in 2008. Today she is in Los Angeles to promote her new video “Corro” from her new CD “Atoma” (produced by Cosmic Records).
“Her music appeals to the intellectual/philosophical youth whose heart is full of wonderful poetry about life and love,” says fan Hazel Lopez. “We can’t wait until she records in English.”
Ulibarri transported herself to the United States in 1999 where she studied music at the prestigious Berklee College of Music where she earned her Bachelor’s in Electronic and Classical Composition. After graduating, she moved to New York City where she worked in recording studios, producing for several bands, music for commercials and writing songs for the animation Go Diego Go!
The multi-talented Fernanda Ulibarri has also had the opportunity to teach production and audio at the Institute of Audio Research. Today, aside from dedicating herself to recording and writing songs, she is also acting in various projects in development.
