J.M. Longoria has had a very good year. He was featured in Sony Pictures feature film, Miracles From Heaven, starring alongside Jennifer Garner, Queen Latifah, and Eugenio Derbez and he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor by the Imagen Awards Foundation for his role in the telenovela web series Sin Vergüenza. The Imagen Awards will be held in Beverly Hills on Friday, September 9th, 2016.
Longoria has been nominated for an Imagen Award for Best Supporting Actor in television or web series for his emotional performance as Enrique Salazar in Season 2 of the award-winning web series Sin Vergüenza. He plays an openly gay son who helps out at the family business, a restaurant in East L.A. Sin Vergüenza utilizes a compelling story line told telenovela style, which focuses on “taboo” subject matters that are not readily talked about within the Latino community.
The popular online series was created and produced by AltaMed Quality Healthcare Services. It revolves around a Mexican-American family who is forced to deal with the consequences of infidelity, unprotected sex, sexually transmitted diseases, and HIV. Longoria’s compelling performance playing a character who faces is trying to help his family through a difficult time when a member of the family is diagnosed with the HIV virus.
This past year J.M. Longoria, was also also seen in the faith-based Sony Pictures feature film, Miracles From Heaven, starring alongside Jennifer Garner, Queen Latifah, and Eugenio Derbez.

To have my work recognized alongside these incredibly talented colleagues is truly an honor,” Longoria explained. “This past year, having had the opportunity of working as an actor on both ‘Miracles from Heaven’ and again on season two of ‘Sin Vergüenza’, has been a blessing”.
Some of J.M.’s notable credits include supporting roles in several music videos from accomplished artists, including Somebody’s Chelsea by Reba McEntire and Everybody Talks and Lessons in Love by Neon Trees. He has also had co-starring roles in the ABC sitcom, Don’t Trust The B— in Apartment 23, starring Krysten Ritter, Dreama Walker, and James Van Der Beek, and in the FOX sitcom, Mulaney, starring John Mulaney, Nasim Pedrad, and Martin Short.
Inspired by his work in Sin Vergüenza, Longoria has become an advocate and ambassador for AltaMed to continue helping raise awareness for HIV prevention and AIDS education within the Latino community.
