Universal City, CA — People Magazine is getting into the awards show business. On Thursday, Dec., 18th, at 9pm ET/PT the two-hour special The PEOPLE Magazine Awards will bow live on NBC from the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The night will include performances from 5 Seconds of Summer and Maroon 5, with celebrities Jennifer Lopez, Kevin Hart, Kate Hudson, Michael Keaton and Jennifer Aniston scheduled to appear.
People magazine which is one of the world’s most popular magazine and celebrity brand, reaching more than 59 million consumers each week, is teaming up with NBC and Dick Clark productions, for this star-studded event special and snapshot of the year in pop culture.
5 Seconds of Summer released their self-titled debut album in July 2014. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and logged the biggest first-week U.S. sales of any new artist debut of 2014. While Maroon 5’s (selling more than 17 million albums worldwide) releases have gone gold and platinum in more than 35 countries.
