“I Love Jenni” Returns 3rd Season on MUN2 Despite Singer’s Tragic Death

The third and final season of Banda diva super star Jenni Rivera’s I Love Jenni reality show filmed just before her tragic death in a Dec. 9 plane crash, will premiere April 14 on Mun2.

Prior to premiere of new reality show season, Mun2 will air a special hour-long tribute, We Love Jenni on April 7 at 9 p.m. The special will include appearances by Rivera fans such as Mario Lopez, Thalia, Snoop Lion, Diana Reyes, Tucanes de Tijuana, Horoscopos de Durango, Larry Hernandez and Carson Daly among others.

Rivera’s popular reality show focused on her colorful public life packed with plenty of drama, paparazzi hounding and lots of chisme. I Love Jenni gives fans plenty to stay hooked and is a favorite water cooler hot topic. Rivera also shared her experiences as she rose from impoverished single motherhood to music and TV stardom.

I Love Jenni third season features footage taped before Rivera’s death. Up front and center will also include Rivera’s sister Rosie and the single mother’s children, Chiquis, Jacqui, Michael, Jenicka and Johnny Angel. This new season will answer many questions about the banda diva including how she was in development with ABC network for her own sitcom, Jenni and another segments about the cosmetics and fragrance business and the introduction to her Jenni Jeans, specially designed for the curvy woman.

Mun2 has another hit season with I Love Jenni because her loyal fans hold dear the singer’s strength to rise above adversity.

“I can’t focus on the negative… because that will defeat you. That will destroy you. The number of times I have fallen down is the number of times I have gotten up,” Rivera said in one of her final interviews.

Rivera made her film debut in what is now her final film in the independent Michael Olmos and Youssef Delara film Filly Brown which premieres April 26, 2013. Filly Brown, a Sundance Film Festival darling, stars Gina Rodriguez, Chrissie Fit, Lou Diamond Phillips, Edward James Olmos and Jenni Rivera.

Rivera was killed on December 9, 2012 when the private Learjet in which she was traveling crashed in a mountainous area of northern Mexico.
