New Episodes on CBS2 & KCAL9 With Special Guests Nadine Velazquez and Charo!
Los Angeles, CA – ¡HOLA! LA will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with two new episodes airing on CBS 2 and KCAL 9 that will feature appearances by actress Nadine Velazquez and media icon Charo. The episodes will debut on CBS 2 on Saturday, October 5 and Saturday, October 12 (4:30-5:00 p.m. both days). Encore broadcasts on KCAL 9 will air on Sunday, October 6 and Sunday, October 13 (5:00-5:30 p.m. both days).
The first episode, airing October 5 and 6, will shine a light on Nadine Velasquez’s busy career. She currently stars in TNT’s Major Crimes and also has a recurring role on FX’s The League. She will also discuss playing Luis Guzman’s leading lady in the upcoming Pantelion film Aztec Warrior.
The episode airing on October 5 and 6 will also highlight the many contributions of Latino luminaries from the American Revolution to present day. Additional features will include an interview with Christina Wall of 360 Style regarding Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations and a visit to the Homegirl Café in downtown Los Angeles that not only serves up delicious food, but also changes lives.
The second episode, airing on October 12 and 13, will feature an interview with musician, singer, comedienne and actress Charo, who discusses her career as the performer who coined the expression “Cuchi-Cuchi,” motherhood and life as an international sex symbol. In addition, Charo will teach the ¡HOLA! LA hosts her “shape-up rap song.”
The episode airing on October 12 and 13 will also include a visit with boxer Brandon “Bam Bam” Rios at his training camp in Oxnard as he gets ready for his fight against Manny Pacquiao and a segment that looks at the many contributions of Latinos in media.
Bel Hernandez, who is also the creator and executive producer of ¡HOLA! LA is joined by co-hosts Emmy award winning journalist Naibe Reynoso, actress/Comedienne Dyana Ortelli, and Actress Kikey Castillo.

Dyana Ortelli: An actress-comedienne who calls herself a “HAC” (Host, Actress, Comedienne) whose credits include Curb Your Enthusiasm among others. Dyana’s funny DNA is never short on opinion or critique. She’s an actress that has been in just about every Latino film ever made (Three Amigos, La Bamba, Born In East L.A., etc.). This December she co-stars in the TV movie Expecting Mary opposite Linda Gray and Cybill Shepherd. Her fashion style is a walking statement all of its own. Don’t ask.
Kikey Castillo: Actress is the youngest of the hosts who brings her commitment to community outreach and her generous, spirited heart to the show. Most Thanksgivings one can find her at one of the areas Soup Kitchens and on any given weekend she’ll be working at a pet adoption facility or at her neighborhood senior center visiting with the seniors. Kikey is an Imagen Award winning actress whose first big role was in director Nick Cassavetes (The Notebook) film, Alpha Dog. Next year, she’ll play Danny Trejo’s girlfriend in a gritty indie feature film. A hard working professional who has acted in many national commercials including Denny’s, WalMart, Chevy, and a many more, Kikey is the Latina girl next door.
