HBO’s “Newsroom” 2nd Season Returns In July

HBO, confirmed Aaron Sorkin’s The Newsroom drama will return for its second season on July 14th at 10PM. Is this good news? Good if the cable channel cast a few more Latinos… It is 2013 and Latinos are working in just about every American industry and that includes TV newsrooms… from the janitorial staff to the top reporting broadcasters.

The series, which made its premiere in June 2012, revolves around the crew of a fictional news channel and its mission to bring dignity back to broadcast journalism.

HBO released a press release teasing the season premiere, stating “The staff of ‘News Night’ chases a mysterious tip, which leads to a story that ultimately spins out of control.”

The show is written by Sorkin and Jeff Daniels, Emily Mortimer, Sam Waterston, John Gallagher, Jr., Alison Pill, Thomas Sadoski, Olivia Munn and Dev Patel star. Series creator Aaron Sorkin executive produces along with Scott Rudin and Alan Poul.
