Among The Nominees are Alfonso Cuaron, Sofia Vergara and Oscar Isacc
Beverly Hills, CA — Early this morning the nominees for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s 71st Golden Globes were announced at the Beverly Hilton by Zoe Saldana, Aziz Ansari and Olivia Wilde. HFPA president Theo Kingma’s gave the opening remarks.
The Golden Globe Awards will be televised live on NBC on January 12, 2014 at the Beverly Hilton, with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler back for a repeat performance. Their Golden Globe debut last year was a hit with audiences who tuned in to the tune of 19.7 million viewers, a 17% jump from the year before.
This year Woody Allen will receive his 2014 Cecil B. DeMille Award despite the fact that he will not be in attendance. Diane Keaton will accept on his behalf.

Among the many well deserved nominations: Alfonso Cuaron (Gravity) has been nominated in the Best Director category; Sofia Vergara for Best Supporting Actress in a Series (Modern Family) and Oscar Isacc for Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Inside Llewyn Davis). Cuaron’s Gravity also picked up a Best Motion Picture nom and Best Actress nom for Sandra Bullock.
As for nomination for TV shows with Latinos in them, the nominees are Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s (Stephanie Beatriz & Melissa Fumero); Modern Family (Sofia Vergara) and Parks and Recreation (Aubry Plaza).
