The 9th annual Film in California Conference celebrates the best California has to offer entertainment industry professionals. The only conference held exclusively to promote filming in California gets bigger and better each year and is the go-to event for those seeking to make the most of California’s unmatched production resources, including its incredibly diverse locations and vast infrastructure.
Come help us celebrate the productions and production jobs that have been returning to California. Come for the great panels and guest speakers. Come for the information. Come meet film commissioners from across the state. Come for the networking.
And for the first time, we will be presenting the California Golden SLATE award to an individual who has championed filming in California.
Hosted by the California Film Commission and Film Liaisons in California Statewide (FLICS) — a network of 40-plus film commissioners from throughout California, this conference attracts over 500 industry professionals from all facets of the film, TV, commercial and digital production industry.
This event is open to film, TV, commercial, still photography and new media professionals who work or are interested in working in California. Registration is non-transferrable, and attendees must be at least 18 years of age.
Space is limited and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. On-site registration will be available only if room for additional attendees is available. Please register in advance. If you are not currently on the California Film Commission or FLICS mailing list, you may request a registration link by emailing register@filmcalifornia.com.
The California Locations Conference is a business event and business casual attire is customary. You also may consider wearing comfortable shoes or flats, since the entire event is being held on a studio lot.
You will have the option to sign-up for panels when you register. Please make sure that you do not sign up for two panels held at the same time. Also, please note that seating for panel discussions is limited, and after all seats are reserved, additional attendance may be limited to standing room only.
Registration begins at 11 am. The conference will run until 6 pm.
