Eva Longoria and Charles D. King to Produce the Remake of Chilean Film ‘Sin Filtro’

Los Angeles, CA-  It was recently announced that actress Eva Longoria and Charles D. King, (executive producer of Fences) are set to produce the remake of the top-grossing Chilean film in 2016, Sin Filtro (No Filter) next year through Longoria’s UnbeliEVAble Entertainment and King’s MACRO.

The comedy which was originally directed and written by Nicolas Lopez and Miguel Asensio Llamas, will start production in 2018 and was the top grossing live-actin film in 2016.  Both Lopez and Llamas will executive producer in the English version.  MACRO is financing while, Kim Roth and Poppy Hanks along with UnbeliEVAble’s Longoria and Ben Spector produce.

The film tells the story of a woman on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Her life spirals out of control after an acupuncture treatment renders her unable to filter herself. The only cure for her problem is to express herself, no matter what may come.

The name of the writer and director for the remake has not been released by the producers yet.

Longoria can currently be seen in the BBC’s Decline and Fall.  It was also recently announced that Longoria will star and produce with Kerry Washington in the workplace comedy 24–7.

Lopez’ next film, Hazlo Como Hombre releases in Mexico on August 11 and in the US on Labor Day by Pantelion/Lionsgate.
