Eugenio Derbez to Get His Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Los Angeles, CA – Mexican actor, director and producer Eugenio Derbez will receive the 2,576th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on March 10, 2016 at 11:30 a.m.

“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is extremely proud to honor one of the major Latino influencers Eugenio Derbez with a star on the Walk of Fame” stated Ana Martinez, Producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies.

Celebrities expected to attend the event are actor Rob Schneider with whom Derbez worked on the short lived CBS Rob TV series, actresses Martha Higareda, Consuelo Duval and Karla Souza (ABC’s How to Get Away With Murder, Instructions Not Included). His children Aislinn Derbez, Vadhir Derbez (Ladrones) and José Eduardo Derbez will also attend the ceremony.

Derbez’s Instructions not Included which became the most successful Spanish-language film in the U.S., earned him popularity here in the United States. The 2013 dramedy produced and starring the Mexican comedian earned more than $100 million worldwide and also catapulted his career in Hollywood.

He has also appeared in several English language TV shows and films: CBS sitcom Rob, and the films Under the Same Moon, Jack and Hill, Girl in Progress and soon will star alongside actress Jennifer Garner in Sony’s upcoming drama Miracles from Heaven.
