EstrellaTV Tops All Broadcasters In Los Angeles in May

The only minority owned Spanish-language broadcasting network in the US takes #1 spot in L.A. market regardless of language

Burbank, CA – EstrellaTV, the Spanish-language broadcasting network in the U.S., announced that its flagship station in L.A. KRCA Channel 62, finished #1 in Nielsen Ratings from 8P-9P for the entire May Sweeps rating period.

EstrellaTV’s original production, Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento, bested not only Univision and Telemundo, but also surpassed all English language nets as well, including CBS, NBC, ABC and Fox.

EstrellaTV is the only Spanish-language network to grow over the last two years and this performance in Los Angeles, the #1 Hispanic market in the country, further validates EstrellaTV’s original and compelling programming strategy.

“We have believed from our inception over 10 years ago that programming specifically for US Hispanics would be a winning strategy. We are thrilled with these results and are looking forward to even more growth for our network,” stated Lenard Liberman, CEO, LBI Media, parent company to EstrellaTV Network.

Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento has been a consistent broadcast juggernaut for KRCA-62 and during May Sweeps 2018, the station was #1 along with ABC among Adults 18-49 beating Univision, CBS, NBC, Fox and Telemundo(1).

According to Nielsen(2), EstrellaTV and its hit talent competition show, Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento, beat all competitors among adults 18-49 and 25-54 in the Los Angeles market as it wrapped up its grand finale show on Wednesday, May 23, 2018.
