Los Angeles, CA – Comedian/Actor/Writer Erik Rivera will be on CBS’s Superior Donuts, this Monday, April 30th at 9:00pm EST. “It’s a very exciting episode that deals with the current state of immigration in this country,” said Rivera.
This episode was directed by Linda Mendoza(Ugly Betty, Scrubs) and written by Peter Murrieta(One Day at a Time, Wizards of Waverly Place).
With U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents conducting raids in Uptown, Sofia(Diane Guerrero) turns to Franco(Jermaine Fowler) for help hiding her undocumented brother, Rafael (Erik Rivera), who faces deportation to Colombia.
Rivera has become a familiar face on television since his Late Night debut on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, a recognition that has been a springboard to many comedy greats. He was then chosen as one of the Top 100 comedians to be invited to perform in the re-launch of NBC’s Last Comic Standing. In 2017 Rivera was cast to star alongside Brandon T Jackson (Tropic Thunder) and DeRay Davis (Netflix’s How To Act Black) in Oxygen’s docu-series Living With Funny – a look at life off stage for the touring comedians.
