Enrique Iglesias Receives 7 Latin Music Award Nominations

Miami, FL — Enrique Iglesias is among the multi-nominated artist for the 2014 Billboard Latin Music Awards.  He received the news while in London promoting his upcoming album Sex+Love. The Billboard Latin Music Awards are one of the the most respected in the music Industry since they are based on official radio listings of the renowned bible of the music: Billboard Magazine. 

Iglesias reaction to the nominations, when reached for comment was: “I love the Billboards and have a great respect for it. It represents the votes of all the fans that support me by following and listening to my music. I would not be where I am without my fans. Thank you.”

Iglesias’ nominations include:

  1. · Social Artist of the Year

  2.  Hot Latin Song of the Year

  3.  Hot Latin Song of the Year, Vocal Event

  4.  Airplay Song of the Year

  5.  Streaming Song of the Year

  6.  Latin Pop Song of the Year

  7.  Tropical Song of the Year

The nominations are a culmination of a terrific year for Iglesias that included his thirteenth No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Charts, Turn The Night Up.  He is the record-holer for the most #1’s on the  chart, he upped his tally yet again. Meanwhile, the track also clinched #1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay Chart, making it a cross-format smash.

Iglesias continues to be a cross-cultural phenomenon, with his most recent Spanish smash, Loco which features Romeo Santos, reached #1 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs Chart. It’s his 24th number one on the Hot Latin Songs Chart, and he continues to hold the record for most number ones on the chart.

While waiting for the release of Sex+Love, Iglesias’ music is taking over the radio with singles like El Perdedor featuring Marco Antonio Solis and I’m a Freak with Pitbull, which has received more than 10 million views and downloads on VEVO and Youtube.

Since 1995, Iglesias has solidified himself as one of the most respected and revered stars worldwide. He remains one of the best-selling Spanish artists in history with sales exceeding 100 million worldwide. To his credit, he’s turned out five top 5 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 with two reaching the top spot as well as 13 number ones on the Dance chart-the most for any male performer ever. Moreover, he has an impressive total of seventy number ones across all Billboard charts. Meanwhile, he also is the record holder for most Spanish language singles to hit number one on the Hot Latin Tracks chart, producing 23 in total. Still, there are even bigger things on the horizon for him.
