Louie C.K., comedian/writer and producer of the FX comedy Louie, has just sealed an overall production deal with FX Productions to create and produce TV programming under his production company Pig Newton for FX Networks. Under the deal C.K. and his executive producer partner on his current hit show Louie, Blair Breard, will both be able to develop, write, executive produce and direct any of the shows developed through Pig Newton for FX Networks. 3 Arts will also be participating as producers on all the projects.
FX Network and FX Productions CEO, John Landgraf was reportedly “thrilled” to be working under the newly sealed deal, which will give Pig Newton the freedom to create projects or present projects to FX. Tom Collier of Sloane Otter Weber Dern LLP sealed the deal on behalf of C.K. and Pig Newton. C.K. is repped by 3 Arts.
Separate from this deal, FX has picked up Louie for a fourth season, which begins on May 2013.
