Emiliano Saccone Named President of MundoFox


Former entertainment president of Fox International Channels, Emiliano Saccone, has been named the president of the new U.S. Latino broadcast TV network which is set to launch this coming fall.

MundoFox is the new Fox and Colombian broadcaster RCN Spanish-language broadcast network that is geared to U.S. Spanish-speaking Latinos. Saccone who has worked for Fox International Channels for 13 years as president of entertainment and EVP of Content has an extensive understanding of the MundoFox target audience. He started his career at Casanova Pendrill in Los Angeles after earning a bachelor’s degree in film and television from UCLA in 1993. He also holds an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Business

Earlier this month, Fox announced that it had secured affiliates in 20 DMAs for its new MundoFox, representing over 40% of U.S. Hispanic households. It hopes to have 75% coverage by the time of its launch this fall.

“We are delighted to have Emiliano on board as the President of MundoFox,” said Hernan Lopez, president and CEO of FIC, who had been overseeing MundoFox during its development.

“Interest in MundoFox has been very high thus far and Emiliano, who has been involved in MundoFox since its conception, is already working full speed towards the launch.”
