Grants Range From $2,000 to $50,00
Los Angeles, CA — The Eastside Arts Initiative (EAI) is now accepting applications for its fourth grant cycle. Applicants must submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) to be considered for a grant by August 28 at 5pm. The EAI operates as a partnership of LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes (LA Plaza) and the California Community Foundation (CCF).
“We are thrilled to continue to provide new grants and encourage applicants with visual and performing initiatives to apply,” said EAI Council Chair Lupe Arriola. “We look forward to funding our next cycle of up to $150,000 to grantees that bring innovative arts initiatives to the community.”
The EAI has no specific design mandates for the LOI, but is seeking new and innovative ideas that will benefit the eastern communities of Los Angeles County. Applicants must focus on visual and performing arts programs that reach diverse and under-served communities.

The EAI offers two funding categories: Small Grants of $2,000 to $10,000; and Matching Grants of $10,001 to $50,000. Grant proposals are selected through an extensive review process by the EAI Council comprised of a distinguished group of cultural and civic leaders: EAI Chair Lupe Arriola, Vice Chair Armando Duron, Victor Franco, Supervisor Gloria Molina (retired), Giovanna Rebagliati and Richard Yniguez.
