Celebrating the Music, Culture and Lifestyle of L.A.
at Plaza de La Raza July 25th
Tierra, the Latin R&B band and pride of East L.A. has been tapped by Exodus Events to be the headliner of their event LA Story which takes place on July 25th, 2015 at Plaza de la Raza in Los Angeles, California.
Tierra, the band which gave us the top charting song Together in the 80’s was named “Best Rhythm and Blues Vocal Group” by Billboard Cashbox, Record World, and BRE (Black Radio Exclusive). It is the first Hispanic act to have four songs on the national pop charts, and two songs simultaneously in the top 100. Tierra’s invigorating blend of R & B, Latin and Pop is the precursor to many Hispanic artists. They have performed in such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall, The American Music Awards, The Greek Theatre, American Bandstand, The Rose Bowl and concert venues worldwide.
In addition to Tierra, LA Story will include performances by LRS Xposure and DJ sets by Toks, Christina Irene, Chauncey P and Gargamel.
LA Story is dedicated to celebrating the culture and lifestyle of the classic Lowrider, featuring the most influential custom car ever built, the Gypsy Rose. In addition to the live music concert by Tierra and and the other musical talent there will be a Lowrider-themed art exhibit benefiting Plaza de La Raza, a cultural center for the arts and education.
The Gypsy Rose Exhibit sponsored by Lowrider Magazine, and the LA Story Car Exhibit sponsored by the Petersen Automotive Museum, promise to bring lowrider fans from near and far to experience this one-of-a-kind experiential event.
The LA Story Art Exhibit sponsored by El Jimador, will feature several local artists displaying their Lowrider-themed works of art. Event-goers are invited to indulge in the finest quality food being served at La Taqueria provided by Vallarta Supermarkets and refresh themselves with a signature cocktail at La Cantina sponsored by El Jimador, Jack Daniels and Finlandia.
LA Story is a 21 and over event. General admission tickets are on sale now for $25 online and will be available for $30 at the door.
