Director Mel Rodriguez’s First Feature “In Stereo” Shoots in N.Y.

Indie Feature In Stereo stars Beau Garrett and Micah Hauptman

In Stereo is the dark indie comedy which marks the feature film debut of writer/director Mel Rodriguez.  Directing from his own script, the film which is currently shooting in New York City, is a co-production with Parkside Pictures producers Danny Roth and Damiano Tucci together with Rodriguez’s banner Insomniac Content.

In Stereo follows the lives of David (Micah Hauptman), a photographer on a self-destructive streak and Brenda (Beau Garrett), a once famous TV actress with behavioral issues that have caused her successful TV career to stall. The film follows them over the course of a couple of days, 18 months after breaking up. Since then, their lives have taken some wrong turns until they reunite at David’s photo exhibit and enter into uncharted territory in their newly rekindled relationship.

“It’s a real privilege to get to make a small, personal independent film at all these days, but the way this came together – making this with my producing partner, this excellent cast and in New York City – it’s been really incredible,” said writer/director Rodriguez.
