Danny Trejo is “Bad Ass” in Theaters & VOD April 13, 2012


Los Angeles, CA – Bad Ass the indie film being release by Samuel Goldwyn FIlm and directed by Craig Moss, will have a simultaneous theatrical and VOD release on April 13, 2012.  The film’s star is non other than Danny Trejo, who since his title role in Robert Rodriguez’s Machete has begun amassing starring roles at an amazing pace.  He is set to once again star in Machete Kills, the sequel to the original in April.

In Bad Ass, Trejo plays Frank Vega , a decorated Vietnam hero returns home only to get shunned by society leaving him without a job or his high school sweetheart. It’s not until forty years later when an incident on a commuter bus (where he protects an elderly black man from a pair of skin heads) makes him a local hero where he’s suddenly celebrated once again. But his good fortune suddenly turns for the worse when his best friend Klondike is murdered and the police aren’t doing anything about it.


Bad Ass opens in the Los Angeles area at the Chino Hills 18  (3070 Chino Ave.Chino Hills, CA  91709) and also stars alongside Trejo Charles S. Dutton and Ron Perlman.  It will be available on VOD on  Amazon, Apple, AT&T, Avail Media, Best Buy, Blockbuster, Cineplex, DirecTV, Microsoft, MTS Allstream, Sony, TVN, Verizon and VUDU
