Los Angeles, CA – Actress Dania Ramirez (Devious Maids, American Reunion) landed the fairy tale role of a princess for this TV season. Ramires will play the role of Disney’s Cinderella in the seventh season of ABC drama Once Upon a Time. Executive producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz announced last week.
According to Kitsis, Ramirez will be playing a different version of Cinderella, the character previously was played by actress Jessy Schram. “If we remember Henry’s grandfather is Prince Charming, played by Josh Dallas, so we have the grandson of Prince Charming with a new Cinderella,” added Kitsis. Cinderella’s story will be set in present day Seattle with flashbacks to the Enchanted Forest.
As for Ramirez, whose last TV regular role was playing a maid in Devious Maids, she was thrilled to announce on her Instagram of having landed the role, “This one is for all of us! #Latina #DominicanAmerican,” “I’m living a real life fairytale,” she wrote.
During the Disney’s D23 Expo, the executive producers of the show also announced that the upcoming season of Once Upon A Time will serve as a reboot for the show , which already had its season six finale sending off many of its characters and storylines.
