Crave: The Fast Life premiers at the 11th Annual Downtown Los Angeles Film Festival (DTLAFF.org) at the L.A. Live Regal Cinemas on Sunday September 25th at 4:30pm followed by a Q&A panel discussion with the filmmakers and cast. Crave: The Fast Life is directed by Joaquin F. Palma, who also wrote the script and produced by Joel M. Gonzales. The multiple award winning film that has been gaining ground as the first of its kind Latino Faith-Crossover film.
Crave: The Fast Life tells a “true-to-life” a story of Max’s troubled past, who deals with abandonment by his father. Tony creates a deep-rooted hunger for success that fuels him down a dark and ruthless path in the glitzy world of the Los Angeles nightclub industry. A universal story meaningful story of loss and salvation. The filmmakers carefully approached the faith-based story elements with a high concept, high quality mainstream storytelling style that is lost in most of today’s typical faith or Christian films.
Crave: The Fast Life features a strong cast of veteran actors such as David Barrera (CSI, The Shield), Steven Wilcox (Empire, Law & Order, American Me) and Mauricio Mendoza (Reno 911, Heroes). Additionally, strong up-and-coming talent like Rene Alvarado (Hulu’s East Los High, Starz’ Power) Jessica Camacho (Fox’s Sleepy Hollow, Harley and the Davidsons), and Jearnest Corchado (True Crime with Aphrodite Jones, ABC’s The Fosters).
The Celebrity Red Carpet media event will start at 3:45PM. Featured invited guest include Danny Trejo, Johnny Ortiz, Earnest Thomas, T.C. Stallings, Hector Echavarria, Oscar Del Hoya, Bishop TD Jakes, DeVon Franklin, David A.R. White and more to be announced.
Crave: The Fast Life has been officially endorsed as a film of “faith and inspiration” by the Victory Outreach International and The Salvation Army. Both global organizations will be hosting screenings and officially be supporting the film on its release.
Festival awards won by Crave: The Fast Life include: Best Picture and Best Actress at the Monaco International Film Festival and Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Ensemble Cast, and Audience Choice Award – South Texas ?International Film Festival. ?
CTFL is set for a limited theatrical release in April 2017 and will also be available on-demand worldwide shortly thereafter.
