Co-Executive Produced by Bella Thorne
Actress/singer and now executive producer Bella Thorne is teaming up once again with Lifetime to co-executive produce of Drink, Slay, Love, a TV movie based on Sarah Beth Durst’s novel. The film stars The Fosters’ Cierra Ramirez as Pearl, a typical 16 year old vampire –fond of blood, allergic to sunlight, and generally pretty evil, until she starts to develop a conscience.
Currently in production the film also stars Gregg Sulkin (Faking It), Zach Peladeau (iZombie), McKaley Miller (Hart Of Dixie), Angelique Rivera (American Crime), Sarah Desjardins (Van Helsing) and Jasmine Sky Sarin (Perfect High).
Cierra Ramirez came up in Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack & Cody where she had a recurring role. She went on to do small roles on shows like CSI: Miami, Zoey 101, and Desperate Housewives until she landed a role in Patricia Riggen’s Girl Interrupted where she played her first lead role (with Eva Mendes playing her mom) in a film, and for which she won an ALMA Award forFavorite Movie Actress Supporting Role Award. After Girl Interrupted, Ramirez really got Hollywood’s attention and was cast in The Secret Life of an American Teenager and then landed her series regular role of Mariana Adams-Foster on The Fosters which she has done for three seasons.
Drink, Slay, Love will be directed by Vanessa Parise, who directed Bella Thorne in Perfect High last year, also for Lifetime.
This announcement comes on the heels of Ramirez debuting her first CD Discreet and her first music video for her song Faded back in June of this year.
Drink, Slay, Love was adapted by Eirene Donohue, with Sheri Singer of Just Singer Entertainment serving as exec producer along with Thorne. With Sepia Films’ Tina Pehme and Kim C. Roberts producing.
Ramirez is repped by Thomas Richards at The Corsa Agency. She is signed to Tribeca Music Group.
