“Dolores”’ Documentary Opens At The
21st Annual Chicano International Film Festival
East Los Angeles, CA — Peter Bratt’s groundbreaking documentary film Dolores, on the life of beloved farm labor rights activist, Dolores Huerta will kick off the 21st year of the Chicano International Film Festival with an exclusive screening on Saturday November 11, 2017 at 6:00 pm at Plaza de la Raza Cultural Center for the Arts & Education in Lincoln Heights, CA.
The Chicano International Film Festival (ChIFF), which celebrated 21 years, making it the longest running Latino geared festival in Los Angeles, includes independent film screenings, panel discussions related to the film and media industry, an exclusive Day of the Dead art exhibit comprised of renowned Chicano artists curated by Disney animator Antonio Pelayo, in conjunction with live musical performances by some of LA’s trending Chicano/Latino musicians.
This November ChIFF celebrates 21 years of existence and is proud to commemorate this anniversary by featuring an exclusive screening of Dolores, directed by Peter Bratt. Executive Producer Carlos Santana and PBS Distribution present the story of one of American history’s most underrepresented sheroes, farm labor rights activist Dolores Huerta. Dolores was the 2017 Sundance Film Festival Official Selection for the U.S. Documentary Competition.
