Los Angeles, CA – The Chicano International Film Festival (ChIFF) announced its official call for submissions for the 2016 film festival. This annual event is a three-day film festival, comprised of 27 films in 9 categories (Narrative Feature, Narrative Short, Documentary Feature, Documentary Short, LGBTQ Film, Avant-Garde Film, Student Film, Youth Film and Music Video).
Set in the heart of Los Angeles, ChIFF includes panel discussions, prominent guest speakers and networking opportunities for filmmakers, in conjunction with musical and dance performances, as well as art exhibits that showcase the rich landscape of Chicano heritage. This year’s festival takes place at the renowned Plaza de la Raza Cultural Center for the Arts and Education September 9-11.
The Chicano International Film Festival (ChIFF) is dedicated to advancing the awareness and understanding of Chicano and Chicana history, culture and expression through the art of film.
