Cheech Marin Keynotes at Calif Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

Sonoma, CA — The 2017 CHCC Annual Convention will be August 23-25, 2017 at the DoubleTree Hotel Sonoma Wine Country in Sonoma, CA. This year’s convention theme is Building Bridges for a Stronger Tomorrow.

The CHCC Annual Convention attracts over 3,000 entrepreneurs, small business advocates, corporate representatives, community leaders and government officials.  Through a network of regional Hispanic Chambers and business associations, the CHCC promotes the economic growth and development of Hispanic entrepreneurs and California’s emerging businesses. This year’s very special guest is award-winning actor, stand-up comedian and an avid collector of Chicano art Cheech Marin.

Marin who recently partnered with the City of Riverside to plan the construction of the Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art, Culture, and Industry joins a long list of dignitaries who have supported the mission of CHCC including former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, branding pioneer and actress Daisy Fuentes, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos creator Richard Montanez, actor and Latino community activist Edward J. Olmos and media dynamo Nely Galán.  Cheech will be the featured speaker at our luncheon onThursday, August 24th at 12:00pm.

Also slated to attend is legendary boxer and entrepreneur Oscar de la Hoya who will be presenting the inaugural Entrepreneur and and Community Excellence Award at the Hispanic Millennials White Party

This year’s CHCC conference will be co-chaired by David Damian Figueroa, Frontier Communications, AVP of Brand and Content Strategic Alliances and Richard Montanez, PepsiCo, Exec. VP of Multicultural Sales.  Conference Co-Chairs are Raul Hernandez, Hood & Strong LLP (Chair Northern Region) and Jenny Chamberlain, Co-Chair Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Sonoma County.

Other programs and activities during the conference include the Hispanic Shark Tank angel investors platform that highlights Latino Start-ups and the Annual Golf Classic.
