Best-selling author and pet industry entrepreneur Cesar Millan, star of hit program The Dog Whisperer on both Nat Geo Wild and Nat Geo Mundo, has been named the second recipient of the Hispanicize 2012 Latinovator Awards for entrepreneurship. Hispanicize 2012 (http://www.HispanicizeEvent.com), the annual Latino trends event, will take place in Miami, April 10-13.
“From his early years living in Southern California and struggling to make it as a Mexican immigrant, to his world-renowned status as an iconic dog behavior specialist, Cesar Millan truly embodies the Latino community’s values of pride, sacrifice, and hope for the future,” said Manny Ruiz, organizer and creative director of Hispanicize 2012. “We are honored to host Mr. Millan at this year’s event and showcase his many business, philanthropy and entertainment accomplishments.”
The Latinovator Awards recognize Latino celebrities, business professionals and other achievers who have become crossover successes or whose stories of achievements are remarkable or inspirational.
In addition to Mr. Millan, Hispanicize 2012 previously announced multi Grammy-winner Emilio Estefan as an award recipient. Each innovator will be presented with their awards individually in person at Hispanicize 2012 as part of a special general session where they will talk about their obstacles and road to success. Mr. Millan is slated to speak on the morning of April 13.
Now in its third year, Hispanicize 2012 (#HISPZ12) is the annual event focused on Latino trends and trendsetters in social media, entertainment, marketing and media. The event is a partnership of the Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA), Hispanicize and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
