Los Angeles native, Carlos A. Hurtado, a Cannes Film Festival award-winning director, continues to receive acclaim – now from prestigious honors from the Hola Mexico Film Festival (HMFF), the largest festival for Mexican cinema outside of Mexico.

Hurtado’s short film Hollygrove, which won a Cannes award will also be screened at the festival. Hurtado was selected as one of the top 20 emerging Latino filmmakers chosen for this intensive 10-day filmmaking program which provides participants a unique opportunity to interact with prominent Hollywood and Mexican Filmmakers.
