Martin Sheen’s Son Reverts to Birth Name… porque?

Allow us to introduce you to Carlos Estevez! Charlie Sheen dumps his stage name and grabs his lifeline Latino roots for his new movie, Machete Kills. When our careers and life hit major bumps in the road, we should all just go to the foundation of our life roots and reboot! And, this is exactly what the 47-year-old Anger Management star went with the Latino billing for the first time in his professional career.
His father, the great actor Martin Sheen has always said he regretted having to change his name from Ramon Ramón Antonio Gerardo Estévez in order to advance his career, and with a new big Robert Rodriguez movie premiere looming, Charlie Sheen reverted to his birth name. It is interesting that Sheen’s character in Machete Kills is the U.S. President… that makes him a Latino POTUS! Oh, so many subtle political messages in a Rodriguez movie!
According to TMZ, Sheen’s name change reflects the Latino pride seen in all of Robert Rodriguez movies and it made him think about his heritage. About time, Carlos!
