BREAKING: Singer, Actress Demi Lovato Reportedly Suffered a Heroin Overdose in L.A.

Los Angeles– Demi Lovato was taken to a hospital in Los Angeles after suffering what appears to be a heroin overdose according to TMZ, which cited law enforcement.

TMZ reports their sources say the singer/actress was transported from a home in the Hollywood Hills just before noon on Tuesday, July, 24, 2018, and is being treated at the moment. There is no word on her condition.

Demi had been struggling with substance abuse, having lived in a sober living home at one point. TMZ reports she had been sober from cocaine for six years.

The singer-actress struggled with an eating disorder, self-mutilation and other issues, entering rehab in 2010. She has spoken out about her battles with drugs and alcohol over the years, and she’s become a role model for young women and men who have faced their own issues.

The singer recently released “Sober,” with lyrics many believing reveal she had fallen off the wagon. Part of the song goes, “Momma, I’ so sorry, I’ not sober anymore. And daddy, please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor. To ones who never left me, we’ve been down this road before. I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore.”

As information becomes available, we’ll update this report.
