The happy couple
Actress Alexa Vega, who grew up right before our eyes in Robert Rodriguez film franchise Spy Kids as Carmen Cortez all the way from 2002 to 2011 and last year in Machete Kills as Killjoy, married Big Time Rush’s actor/singer Carlos Pena on Saturday, January 4th. They began dating last year and got engaged several months later in September.
On January 4th after the wedding, Vega tweeted “Mrs. PenaVega. Robert Rodriguez congratulated the happy couple on Facebook “Alexa Vega married Carlos Pena, Jr. yesterday in a romantic Mexican wedding. Congratulations!
This is Vega’s second marriage, she is divorced from first husband, film producer Sean Covel, who also used social media to send good wishes: “Deepest congratulations to @alexavega and @TheCarlosPena!” he wrote at the time of their engagement. He joked: “May your days be happy, lives be long, and your children, somehow, be tall.”
