3.0 Million Total Viewers Got Devious In Season Finale!

Season One Finale of Lifetime’s Hit Drama Devious Maids

Reaches Series Highs and Posts Double Digit Growth Versus Premiere

Los Angeles  – Millions of people across the U.S. got devious — real Devious – last night when a series high 3.0 million total viewers watched the season one finale of Lifetime’s hit drama Devious Maids (#DeviousMaids) in a highly competitive environment.  In addition to a series best with Total Viewers (a +50% jump versus the program’s June 23rd premiere), the drama reached series highs across all of the key demographics, including 1.4 million Adults 18-49 viewers (+69%), 1.3 million Adults 25-54 viewers (+50%), 1.2 million Women 18-49 viewers (+90%) and 1.0 million Women 25-54 viewers (+51%), according to Nielsen Research.

The network’s fastest-growing drama ever, Devious Maids has catapulted Lifetime to cable’s number one network in the Sunday 10:00pm ET/PT time slot among Women.  Its 19% Hispanic composition nearly doubles Lifetime’s primetime average.

“The performance and growth of Devious Maids has been incredible,” said Rob Sharenow, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Lifetime.  “Any time you see your ratings double over the course of a season, you know the creatives are making a great show that is hitting a chord with viewers.”

From executive producers Marc Cherry and Eva Longoria, and starring Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramírez, Roselyn Sánchez, Edy Ganem and Judy Reyes, Devious Maids centers on a close-knit group of maids (Ortiz, Ramírez, Sánchez, Ganem and Reyes), bonded together by their jobs, life struggles and boss’ melodramatic “upstairs-downstairs” universe, that turns to one another for support after a fellow maid Flora (Paula Garcés) is brutally murdered at the home of her employers.  Devious Maids also stars Susan Lucci, Rebecca Wisocky, Tom Irwin, Mariana Klaveno, Grant Show, Matt Cedeño, Melinda Page Hamilton, Drew Van Acker, Brianna Brown and Brett Cullen.

Produced by ABC Studios, Devious Maids was renewed last month for a second season, with 13 all-new episodes scheduled to air next year.

Inspired by the hit telenovela, Ellas son la Alegría del Hogar, Devious Maids was created by Marc Cherry and is executive produced by Cherry, Sabrina Wind, Eva Longoria, Paul McGuigan, Larry Shuman, David Lonner, John Mass and Televisa USA’s Paul Presburger and Michael Garcia.
